Apple Crisp

Pick your apples locally for optimal results

Ingredients

  • 6-8 chopped apples (you can peel these first if you want or just leave them unpeeled if you’re lazy like me)

  • ½ cup of white sugar

  • 1 tbsp of cinnamon

  • 1 tbsp of all-purpose flour

  • ½ cup of water

  • 1 cup of all-purpose flour

  • 1 cup of brown sugar

  • 1 cup of quick-cooking oats

  • ¼ tsp of baking powder

  • ¼ tsp of baking soda

  • 1 cup of browned butter

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F

  • Place the sliced apples in a large baking dish

  • Mix the white sugar, cinnamon, and one tbsp of flour together, and sprinkle over your apples. Pour water evenly over all.

  • Combine one cup of flour, brown sugar, oats, baking powder, baking soda, and melted butter together. Crumble evenly over your apple mixture.

  • Bake for about 45 minutes

  • Serve warm with vanilla ice cream
