Gingerbread Cookies

Merry Christmas and the happiest of holidays

  • Contains dairy and egg

  • Makes 36 cookies

Ingredients

  • 3 cups of all-purpose flour

  • 1 ½ tsp of baking powder

  • ¾ tsp of baking soda

  • ¼ tsp of kosher salt

  • 1 tbsp of ground ginger

  • 2 tbsp of cinnamon

  • 1 tsp of nutmeg

  • 1 cup of unsalted browned (or melted) butter

  • ¾ cup of brown sugar

  • 1 egg

  • ½ cup of molasses

  • 1 tbsp of vanilla

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F

  • In a large bowl combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, ginger, cinnamon, and nutmeg until well blended

  • Add in your butter, brown sugar, and egg and mix well

  • Add your molasses and vanilla

  • Roll out dough (coat the dough, roller, and rolling surface with flour to keep everything from sticking together)

  • Use your favourite cookie cutters to craft your personalized cookies!

  • Place cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper

  • Bake for 7 minutes
