Prep time: 15 mins
Cook time: 20 mins
Makes about 20 wings
Vegan
Ingredients
1 head of cauliflower
1 cup of water
2/3 cup of all-purpose flour
1 tbs of garlic powder
1 tbs of cumin
1/2 tbs of ground pepper
Your choice of wing sauce
Instructions
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
Wash and break the cauliflower into bite-sized pieces
Mix the flour, water, and spices in a medium-sized bowl
Combine your cauliflower bites with the batter and mix until each piece is fully coated
Lay each piece of cauliflower on a baking sheet, shaking off any excess batter (I find the easiest way to do this is to pour the cauliflower and batter into a strainer before placing the pieces on the baking sheet)
Bake for 15 minutes until golden brown, flipping halfway through
Once the wings are done their first bake, remove them from the oven and toss them in your wing sauce of choice
Return the cauliflower wings to the baking sheet and bake for another 5 minutes
Serve with your favourite dipping sauce (I like ranch)!
Green Fact
According to the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, the global community has until 2030 to stop the rapid advancement of climate change and avoid increased threats of extreme heat, drought, flooding, and biodiversity loss. If Earth’s temperatures rise by more than 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels, billions of people will be exposed to health, safety, employment, food security, and water supply risks.
