Chocolate Chip Cookies
A great way to use up extra holiday chocolate

Makes about 40 cookies
Contains dairy and eggs
Ingredients
1 cup butter (unsalted)
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tbsp vanilla extract
1 tsp baking soda
2 tsp hot water
1/2 tsp kosher salt
2 cups all-purpose flour
1-2 cups your choice of chocolate
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
In a pot, melt the butter over low-medium heat, mixing frequently until it has browned (about 5 minutes)
Mix together the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth
Add the eggs, vanilla, and salt
Add in the baking soda, then the hot water on top (to dissolve the baking soda)
Mix in the flour and chocolate
Form small-medium sized balls with the batter and place on a baking sheet
Bake for 15 minutes
