Black bean burgers

  • Prep time: 15 mins

  • Makes 4 large burgers

Ingredients

  • 1 can of black beans

  • Your choice of spices (I used garlic, black pepper, and coriander)

  • 1/2 cup of breadcrumbs

  • 2 tbsp of BBQ sauce

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

  • In a large bowl, mash the black beans with a potato masher or fork until you reach a consistency you’re happy with

  • Mix in the spices, BBQ sauce and any extras until well combined

  • Slowly add the bread crumbs until you have a clumpy, sticky mixture that can be shaped into patties

  • Use your hands to shape the patties and place them on a lined baking sheet

  • Bake for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through

  • Enjoy with your favourite toppings!
